Here at the SPRI Performance Center

I want to show you an exercise that is sure to challenge your lateral stability and your rotation called

The Side Step Chest Press

using the SPRI Superband

Lets start by standing with the superband close to the mid-chest

Step to the side while maintaining the opposite leg straight and extend the band away from the chest

without bending that leg, drive powerfully off the bent leg to return to a standing position

and let the band return to your chest

There arn’t many better exercises to challenge your lateral movement and rotation simultaneously

Remember… Stand tall with the band at mid-chest

Step to the side and extend the band away from the chest

Stand back up and pull the band back close

If you really want to get better, do this exercise and master it to enjoy the total body benefit
